Perfect 10 Online Poker Challenge Launched
UB.com, a United States friendly poker site, will be running the Perfect 10 Poker Challenge during the entire month of April 2010. A total prize pot of $100,000 will be given away by the site for the Leaderboard Challenge. The top prize is a total of $20,000. Each day in April will feature ten buy-in tournaments that cost $11 to enter, automatically entering all players who play in these events into the $100,000 Leaderboard Challenge. Tournament leaderboard points will be awarded to every participant based on their finish in these buy-in events. The top ten finishes for a player will count towards the Leaderboard Challenge and the top 50 spots on the leaderboard will pay out cash prizes to those players.
The second place finisher on the Leaderboard Challenge will go home with $10,000 and the third place finisher on the Leaderboard Challenge will go home with $5,000. The players who finish fourth through tenth on the Leaderboard Challenge will pocket $2,500 each and the top 50 players will go home with at least $500. Poker pro and UB.com member, Joe Sebok, had the following to say in a press release about the Perfect 10 Online Poker Challenge:
“The launch of the Perfect 10 and the $100,000 Leaderboard Challenge are the first of many new and innovative promotions set to be introduced at UB. UB has a completely revamped approach to 2010 and will be working to keep its entire community in the know about all new promotions and events. The offers will be more exciting, more unique, and each one geared towards rewarding our players for playing with us like never before.”
There are satellites scheduled for the $11 tournaments, which come at a buy-in cost of $2.20. A Player Leaderboard will be posted to the UB.com site, updated each day, so players can check out where they rank in the tournament. Another board, the Team UB Leaderboard, will also be updated daily for people to see how the UB.com pros stack up in the tournament. Poker pros from UB.com who might be seen on the Team UB Leaderboard playing for the prize money include 2010 National Heads-Up Poker Champion Annie Duke, 11-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth, Adam “Roothlus” Levy, Billy “Patrolman35″ Kopp, Bryan “badbeatninja” Devonshire, Brandon Cantu, Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin, Matt “mattg1983″ Graham, Michael Binger, and Tiffany Michelle, who is a former ‘Amazing Race’ contestant from the CBS Network.
