There has been plenty of arguing back and forth between state legislators regarding state revenue shares, renovations, and regulations of Delaware’s three casinos but an agreement has been made regarding table games. Table games in the state of Delaware first made their debut in the Harrington Raceway and Casino at the very end of May, on Memorial Day weekend. A trial run of the new table games at the casino took place four days prior to the casino opening them to the public. The table games available for play include blackjack, roulette, craps and poker. The World Series of Poker is set to begin not too long from now which means that poker players across the globe are trying their hardest to earn enough money to buy a seat in the world’s largest and most recognized poker tournament. Well, to stand up against that ruling, DoylesRoom.com decided to award its poker players different prize packages for the World Series of Poker. Those prize packages include $12,500 and $2,500 prize packages with a VIP Vegas experience along with cash. Players can use that cash to buy into any World Series of Poker event of their choosing.

How to Count Cards

Blackjack players and poker players alike know what it takes to win at their respective games. Sometimes players need advantages over their opponents and will employ the skill of counting cards to win hands and tournaments. Counting cards in a game of blackjack is the ability to keep track of high cards over low cards in a deck that has yet to be dealt. The difficult thing with counting cards is that this is a system that does not allow the use of a pen or piece of paper to physically write down what the player is working on when counting. To count cards the player must have an excellent memory or else he or she will be up a river without a paddle.

Heel Size Shows Success

For one former Harvard Business School professor, the ability to tell how well or how bad a casino is doing is all in the size of the heels present on the casino floor. Gary Loveman is the CEO of Harrah’s Entertainment, based out of Las Vegas, who likes to see stilettos rather than flat heels on the floors of his more than 50 casinos. Loveman claims that the more stilettos there are in the casino the more money will be spent. Why? Loveman believes that his guests are literally more well-heeled, which means that they are more likely to spend more money at the tables, machines, hotels, restaurants and shops.

Atlantic City enjoys such a long tourism season because of its many casinos. The tourism season in 2009 was full of strife though. A poker pro from Las Vegas, Bryan Devonshire, took home the top prize in San Diego. The prize was $114,000 in the World Series of Poker circuit event at the Harrah’s Rincon. Devonshire has been playing World Series of Poker-related events since 2003 and has cashed in six times, which is not a bad formula for winning at all. The first two times in Devonshire’s career that he took home cash he finsihed in second place both times. Devonshire has won over $1 million in live poker tournaments but had never won a World Series of Poker event until he finished first in 2010 at the Harrah’s Rincon in San Diego for $114,000.
